1. Digital signal processing. Laplace and Z-transformation, Tustin (bilinear) transformation. Digital filters - overview and implementation. FIR and IIR filters. Digital signal processor architecture. *

2. Digital integrated circuit technology Bipolar and unipolar IC technologies - comparison of logical series (A)LS TTL, F, CMOS, HC, HCT, AC etc. IC interconnections and compatibility, buffers and level converters. Noise generation in digital circuits, electromagnetic compatibility, fundamentals of digital system design. *

3. Current microprocessor system architecture Memory addressing, physical and logical addresses, segmentation and paging. Memory management, virtual memory, cache memory. Instruction set, CICS and RISC processors, advanced methods to increase of computational power. Overview of INTEL microprocessors development, competitive products. Memory architecture - SRAM, DRAM, memory modules in PC. *

4. Personal computer architecture Basic elements and their interconnections - processor, operational memory, role of chipsets; internal buses (ISA, PCI, technology PnP, AGP, PCI-X, PCI-Express); graphical adapter; external memory (hard disk and floppy disk, their interface standards - ATA, SATA, SCSI, SAS, FC, RAID); external I/O interfaces (IEEE 1394, Bluetooth, PCMCIA, WiFi, IrDA). Data acquisition and measurement devices. *

5. Data acquisition and experiment control software Programming of measurement and control of experiment in graphical environments - introduction to NI LabView. Introduction to the principle of graphical programming. Use of the LabView system for connection and control of laboratory devices using various buses such as RS-232, GPIB, Ethernet, and USB. Connecting multiple computers, data collection and visualization. Design and construction of a real experimental system. Deployment of NI LabView in a heterogeneous environment on FPGA, Arduino, and Raspberry systems.
