Syllabus
The seminar is divided into particular topics, e. g.:
- temperature measurements
- experiments with infrared camera
- mechanisms of heat exchange
- phase transitions
- the moisture in atmosphere
- the thermodynamics of gases
- heat engines
- how to (mis)understand entropy
- experiments in statistical physics and other topics according to students’ interest.
Annotation
The optional seminar designed to fix and deepen basic ideas concerning phenomena and concepts from the field of thermodynamics and statistical physics. The seminar shows how to use simple experiments and other activating elements in physics teaching at secondary school.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to try out some more advanced experiments related to this topic. The seminar is designed especially for future physics teachers.
