The seminar consists of four lecture series, 3 or 4 lectures each, by several lecturers. The content varies from year to year. Past topics include non-euclidean geometry, Moebius group, classification of smooth vector fields on the sphere, knot theory, solvability of higher order polynomial equations, discrete Fourier transform and many others.

An elective seminar for 1st and 2nd year students of General Mathematics.
The aim of the seminar is to introduce a series of topics of geometry, algebra and physics, which do not fit into regular courses. The unifying idea will be the symmetry and invariance principles in many variations.
