Syllabus

Some aspects of city climate - thermal and wind field of the city. Atmospheric pollution in cities.

Technical climatology and its applications. Indoor climate, heating and air condition. Application of climatology to buildings construction and design (question of the heat balance of buildings, moisture and precipitation effects, snow weighting, influence of temperature fluctuations and strong wind).

Climatic conditions during transport and for industry.

Energy from alternative sources - solar and wind energy.

Homogenity and homogenization.

Basic applications of statistical software and GIS tools in climate data processing.

Annotation

Further possibilities of climate data applications, especially in technical praxis. The scope will be given on practical processing of measured data.

Knowledge gained from lecture "Applied Climatology I" is supposed.
