Syllabus
Satellite data in climatology - sources, type and character of data, possible applications, advantages and disadvantages of satellite data, comparison with other data. GPS RO atmosphere observing, methods of data processing and usage.
Observing of atmosphere composition with satellites - methods of long-distance troposphere observing, atmospheric spectroscopy, reflectance, observing transmission; measurement of gases, clouds, atmosphere aerosol characteristics; satellite observing of atmosphere chemical composition for using in models (validation, inversion, data assimilation). Content of lecture can be changed according to students' interests.
