Overview and production of numerical software, computer arithmetic, cache memory utilization in calculations, fundamentals of adaptive numerical methods, numerical quadrature, error estimation, adaptivity, numerical solution of ordinary differential equations, local error estimation, adaptive time step selection.

The aim of this lecture is to introduce an implementation of numerical methods for the solution of concrete problems with the aid of available software.
