Detecting analog signals using synchronous and asynchronous detector, shaping signals by means of switching circuits, application of operational amplifiers for filtering and signal shaping, the conversion of analog signals to the digital ones by means of A/D converters and the back-conversion to the continuous form using D/A converters. Communication of the PCs with measuring instruments in the system using the standard interface, the transfer of experimental data and their processing in PC.
Use of the spectrum analyzer.
Students will match different signal sources, used in physical experiments, with signal processing and detection, measurement and transformation of the analog signals to the digital form and back. The course includes studying methods of experimental data collection and processing.
