Annotation

Annotation of Drama in Education seminar:

The course aims at integration of drama into classical education, as a means of bringing holistic approach to learning and teaching. By studying, adapting and performing selected drama pieces, the theoretical background will be directly implemented into “hands-on experience“ with acting in L2 and therefore understanding an actor´s/ student´s role. The final stage will be improvisation and ability to elaborate a methodological approach.

Requirements: active participation in all parts including acting out a play. Choosing an individual piece of a play and adapting it to Elementary or Grammar School level. Rehearsing this with a group of students and summarizing the method, knowledge and outcome in a final paper.
