Annotation

The aim of the course is to introduce students into the issues of philosophical anthropology, including the fundamental paradigms of philosophical concepts of man (as animal rationale, imago Dei and ego cogito), the questions concerning the universality of man and the analysis of modern man image.

Syllabus: 1. The bases of philosophical anthropology. 2. The fundamental metaphysical figures of humanity ? animal rationale, imago Dei, ego cogito. 3.The universality of man in modern philosophical anthropology, the universality of reason, senses, actions and morality. 4. Races and racism as an old-standing problem of philosophical anthropology. 5.Our knowledge of ancient civilisations and the possibility of further understanding. 6.Homo faber in modern philosophical anthropology. 7.Homo ludens. 8.Man as a being capable of smile and laugh (with sense of humour). 9.Ens amans. 10.Normality and lunacy in philosophical reflection. 11.The problem of corporeality and experiencing. 12.The postmodern reflection of man.
