Annotation
The course is an introduction to European Studies Education. The aim is to familiarize with the development, principles and objectives of educational policy in the context of the European integration process, contribute to the understanding of the changes and trends in education systems and provide guidance in the European educational space.
Course content includes introduction to the history of European integration and functioning of the European institutions and the Structural Funds. It explains basic concepts, common values and principles on which the education policy in the European Union.
It focuses mainly on the Lisbon Strategy, Bologna process and the joint EU educational programs, explains the specifics of the Czech educational environment. The outcome of the course is essay, which verifies the ability to create and present a proposal of an European-oriented educational project.
