Syllabus

1. The outdoor sports, the basic types of tourism (hiking, water tourism, cycling), which families can do in their free time.

2. The didactics and organisation of selected outdoor activities, which are implemented in prevention programs of social pathological phenomena of children and teenagers.

3. The selected summer nature activities - the basics of cycling and cycle tourism, road traffic safety, hiking, water tourism essentials, canoeing.

4. The basic of topography, finding direction in the terrain.

5. The outdoor games, outdoor survival principles, ecological education, and nature protection.

Annotation

The aim of this course is to acquire the basic outdoor knowledge and manage the skills essential for selected outdoor sports. Students will get the camping knowledge, the skills of finding direction in the wilderness and working with natural materials. The course instructs to take advantage of these skills to develop the basic physical abilities through camping and outdoor games. Students will create their repertoire of activities for outdoor games and exercises. The course presents the basic types of tourism (hiking, water tourism, cycling), which families can do in their free time. It acquaints the students with the knowledge of didactics and organisation of selected outdoor activities, which are implemented in prevention programs of social pathological phenomena of children and teenagers.

The focus is on selected summer nature activities ? the basics of cycling and cycle tourism, road traffic safety, hiking, water tourism essentials, orienteering, topography, finding direction in the terrain, outdoor games, outdoor survival principles, ecological education, and nature protection.
