Attention is devoted to social gerontology, demographics of aging, socio-economical situation of older population. Discussed topics include: social environment, social and socio-psychological issues of aging and the old age, social contacts, family relationships, generation problems, issues of loneliness and social isolation in relation to self-sufficiency, attitudes and behavior of elderly people, attitudes of the public towards older generation and retirement preparation.
Also health-social and socio-psychological aspects of providing overall care of the old people are mentioned.
