Annotation

The aim of the course Local area network is primarily to acquaint students with the basic principles and technologies used by the local networks, the methods of access networks, through the means of linking them to transition to přepojovacím technologies and wireless technologies. The course is also to provide comprehensive insight into the communication protocol for some types of frequently used data networks by layers of the OSI model.

The course also introduces students with communication protocol TCP / IP on the Internet. The course also introduces the principles of function and design of structured cabling systems of buildings and their links to the use of specific technology local area network - LAN.

On show will be the basic NOS (Novell Netware, Windows NT/2000/XP, Unix-like OS), including the basic principles of administration, configuration and operation, and configuration management and service of selected client software.
