a) Topics of lectures:1.  Basic physiological mechanisms2.  Internal body environment , its components and functions , control of homeostasis. The immune system4.  Cardiac activity , regulation, circulatory system , function and regulation .5.  Respiratory function, ventilation, regulation.

Transport of respiratory gases and internal respiration6.  Structure and function of the digestive tract. Metabolism  of substances and energy.7.  Extrarenal and renal excretion8.  Function of control systems - endocrine and nervousb ) Practical exercises:1.  Introduction to the practice - introducing to procedures2.  Anthropometry and caliper measurement3.  Measurement of blood pressure and its changes during isometric contraction4.  Ortho - clinostatic exam , EKG5.  Ventilation parameters6.  Eye examination

Annotation

The course introduces students to basic physiological principles , the theory of homeostasis and activities and individual functional systems. Special attention is paid to the physiological regulations and neuromuscular system with regard to child and adolescent organism.
