Introduction to Instrumental Enrichment of Reuven Feuerstein is a experience learning focused seminar which offers insight into the program of Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) and related theories. World-renowned pedagogue and psychologist R. Feuerstein created a complex system of worksheet which are used to improve users cognitive functions, ability to learn systematically and enhance the ability to create new strategies in problem solving. It improves the deficit cognitive functions . Through the focus on verbal expression of thought processes it also helps individuals to express themselves better. Part of the method is also sharing with others in the group which enhances empathy and respect to the opinions and views of others. The motto of the method is: “Just a moment... Let me think.”.
The aim of the seminar is to present, explain and show mediated learning experience in practical examples from pedagogy and psychology. Students will learn about mediated learning experinece as one of the systems focused on teaching of thinking skills. Students will be required to buy one licensed instrument which costs 160 CZK.
