Syllabus
During lessons students listen to selected chapters from ancient political, cultural and economical history, ancient mythology and geography, this all in context with history of the Mediterranean. Reception of classical tradition in history and culture of Europe is mentioned briefly, too.
The approach is chronologic and discusses the history of Rome - royal era, republic, empire, late antiquity, collapse of Roman empire and the barbarisation of the Mediterranean.
