Annotation

The main aim of the course is to complete and systemize PhD student´s understanding and knowledge relevant to didactic basis of virtual learning and open educational platforms, their didactic functions in various pedagogical situations with the aim to support learner´s cognitive and (autonomous) learning processes, feedback, evaluation and assessment. The course makes prompt effort to take in pedagogical dimensions approaches to learning, supported by computer networks and to evaluation of their educational potential.

The course contributes to explanation of key concepts related to didactic aspects of learning environment: open educational resources, digital resources, e-learning, e+learning, virtual learning platform, open teaching, open instruction, learning object, collaboration, pedagogical communication, e-portfolio, e-pedagogy, theories about learning in computer networks, didactic aspects of technology for educational collaboration, sharing knowledge, pedagogical communication, and evaluation of learning outcomes based on e-portfolio.

The course insists on the latest available international research outcomes engaged in impact of digital networks and virtual educational systems for open instruction on learners and their assessment including evaluation of learning objects as fundamental units for e+learning activities design. The course will apply also results of research identifying the main problems and specifying strategies for open instruction system development for school education requirements.
