"VIDIMUS STELLAM EIUS IN ORIENTE". Adoration of the Magi as an iconographic typus and its current use in art education.

Annotation

The course acquaints students with the iconography of the Theme of the Epiphany on the example of the mural decoration of the Hradčany Sternberg Palace and the Church of the Epiphany in Smiřice and with the use of symbolics of the Sternberg family as an example of the building of ancestral myth. The participants will discuss how to update the way of thinking presented and its current meaning and evaluation.

Particular attention will be paid to the importance of such thought paradigms in the transfer to contemporary pedagogy, especially in the field of art education.
