Annotation

The course looks back at the phenomena analysed within the courses of English morphology, focusing on practising the key morphological categories. The aim of the course is to establish a systematic overview of the chosen linguistic categories and provide a reasonable way these can be gradually presented at different levels of the school system.

Topics: 1.Determination of nouns in English; 2.The Category of Countability in English – the present tendencies in using the uncountable nouns; 3.Modality as a semantic category, its realization forms; 4.Modality – root and epistemic modal expression in ELT; 5.Grammar words in English; prepositions, particles, conjunctions;
