Annotation
The course clarifies the specifics of education in preschool. Attention is paid to the development of the concept of childhood, the importance of play in preschool age, the specifics of the educational process in kindergarten, categorization of preschool institutions, professionalization of the teaching profession, issues of school readiness and continuity of pre-primary and primary education. The aim of the course is to provide a basic orientation in the historical development of preschool education and to get acquainted with the current concept of education of preschool children.

3. Objectives, methods, content and conditions of preschool education. Educational program and curriculum.
