Teaching practice with reflexion at lower secondary level

Annotation

Continuous subject specific teaching practice with reflection is focused mainly on individual students’ teaching performance and its reflection with specific attention paid to the age of lower secondary school pupils. It consists of two basic stages: (1) familiarization od students with selected school as an institution including relevant curricular documents and classes of individual students’ mentors through observation; (2) own teaching performance in mentor’s classes, both in cooperation with mentor and individually.

An integral part of the teaching practice will be a recording of a selected lesson and its reflection with school mentor as well as university teacher of ELT methodology. Furthermore, students will work in groups of 3 to 4 students to mutually analyse their video recorded lessons.

Students will further develop their professional portfolio, including relevant materials.
