The course is based on a holistic approach to health and mediates basic knowledge of psychology and sociology of health. Attention is paid to different approaches to the phenomenon of human health, selected theories of health and disease are presented. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the issue of stress, incl. load management process. Personality and situational factors influencing the course of the stress response are analyzed in detail. The aim of the course is to present the basic knowledge of psychology and sociology of health and to mediate a deeper and broader view of psycho-social factors that play an important role in health and disease.
