Annotation

The course is based on reflective reading of scholarly texts related to upbringing or education. Students will choose several titles from the offered list of publications and carefully study these texts while taking elaborate notes. Students should gain deep insight into the studied issues and should be able to discuss them at length during the final colloquium. This academic year´s topic is Human and Good. The aim of the course is to lead students to reflective reading of essential publications and sharing their findings.

1. Controlled reading – basic conception, goals, organization.

2. Principles of reading and note-taking, conspectus, principles of exegesis and eisegesis.

3. Choosing the texts, consultations.

4. Final colloquium.
