Annotation
The course introduces students to the situation of pre-school education in Europe and its current transformation. It addresses its current problems and highlights the main trends in the European context.
It also deals with pedagogical work with pre-school children from a diverse socio-cultural environment. Students will be acquainted with selected foreign pedagogical approaches, concepts, curricula and successful programs responding to the changing situation of pre-school facilities and institutional pre-school education in Europe.
The aim of the course is to reflect pedagogical practice in the Czech Republic in the context of international development of pre-school education and to look for students at intersections of its direction and possibilities of solving current problems in the context of international experience.
