Syllabus
1. Basic ecological and environmental concepts and their context.
2. Development of man's relationship to nature and the environment.
3. Global problems.
4. Relations between economic development and the environment; basic principles of sustainable development; Sustainable development tools, consumer education.
5. State and problems of the environment in the Czech Republic, region and locality.
6. Environmental education – meaning, development, concept, goals; Didactic aspects of environmental education.
7. Basic methods, forms and means of environmental education at school and outside the school area.
Annotation
The course introduces the basic terminology in the field of environmental education, clarifies mutual relationships, introduces the issue of environmental changes over time, global problems, and the importance of consumer education. It also focuses on the pedagogical aspects of environmental education and its use in school and extracurricular practice.
