The subject presents significant periods of Czech history (the beginnings of Czech statehood, culture in the Middle Ages, the time of Charles IV, the Renaissance, the Baroque, the national revival, the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century). Special attention is paid to the culture of the 20th century (ideological and artistic trends, theater and film, everyday encounters with culture in our lives).
