Syllabus

An overview of Czech cultural history and its connection with European history (The beginnings of Czech statehood, culture in the Middle Ages, the time of Charles IV, the Renaissance, the Baroque. National revival, the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Thought and artistic trends of the 20th century. The development of the Czech writing, architecture and visual arts. Cultural traditions, traditional holidays. 20th century culture - theater and film, everyday encounters with culture in our lives).

Analysis of information sources for a program of walks with activities for cultural enrichment for a selected group of children and a selected region.

Program structure options.

Reflection on the preparation of the program with the teacher for the colloquium.

Annotation

The subject presents significant periods of Czech history (the beginnings of Czech statehood, culture in the Middle Ages, the time of Charles IV, the Renaissance, the Baroque, the national revival, the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century). Special attention is paid to the culture of the 20th century (ideological and artistic trends, theater and film, everyday encounters with culture in our lives).

Attention is also paid to the practical use of cultural history in the education of children and youth (knowledge of holidays, cultural traditions, the influence and influence of Christianity and other religions, the development of writing, architecture and visual arts).
