Annotation

The aim of the course is to deepen the students knowledge in the field of prevention, treatment and research of the use of addictive substances and other forms of potentially addictive behaviour, their impact on an individual and on the society. The course is based on the concept of an interdisciplinary field of addictology which shows itself in the effort in interlinking of new findings about the causes and development of addictive behaviour from the field of medicine, psychology, sociology and social work. It concurrently takes into account relevant findings in economy, law, criminology, pedagogy, politology, religionistics and cultural and social anthropology.

The course creates a theoretical superstructure of the related compulsory subjects.
