Annotation

The content of the course is a reflection of the ongoing study outcomes and their connections. Students document and context the own artworks and the theoretical knowledge. The course Art Portfolio is an opportunity to systematically reflect on the individual components of the study specialization through selected concepts or their relations. The aim of the course is to formulate the basis of one's own teaching concept in art education in relation to the existing experience and to realize the individual components of art education. The aim is to develop the ability of reflection, generalization, critical thinking and synthesis of many sources. The principles are interdisciplinarity, self-reflection, creativity. The course leads students to didactic reflection of artistic strategies and to connect the practical experiences and observations of the pedagogical proceses with the theoretical knowledge.

The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical professional knowledge. It is highly reflective. Students gradually find their own artistic forms of portfolio. The portfolio is developed on three levels: artistic, art historical and didactic. On the didactic level it is understood as a tool for pedagogical reflection and long-term planning of art education. On the basis of the analysis of concrete outcomes, students gradually formulate their own conception of art education, which they further justify in joint discussions. Following the process of developing their own professional portfolio, the key content of the course is the issue of evaluation and reflection in art education. Students learn about formative assessment and become familiar with the possibilities of this methodology in the context of art education.
