Sociology of health and illness is presented as a sociology sub-discipline that focuses on social context of health and therefore it is significant for pedagogical praxis as well. Students will be lead towards understanding that the only approach to comprehension of health and illness is to examine the interconnection of systems and processes that influence the individual (human system) including contexts that constitute his life.
