Annotation

The aim of the excursions is to amplify the knowledge gathered by the students during the lectures and seminars, and to acquire first-hand experiences in the current practice of education procedures in architectural monuments, museums, picture galleries, public monuments and other memory institutions. The individual excursions consist of three phases.

During the first, preparatory phase, students get familiar with the excursion programme. They work with specialized literature, and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in particular study courses in preparation of their specialized lectures.

The second phase takes place during the excursion itself. The students follow both the presentations and education work in the monuments and institutions visited, and specialized papers by their colleagues.

They also contribute their own lectures. In the course of the third phase, they assess the quality of presentation and interpretation of cultural heritage in the institutions visited by means of discussion, and they suggest possible amendments.

In the same manner, all the lectures which have been presented receive evaluation, both by the students and by the teaching personnel present.
