Annotation

Revitalising, supplementing and systematising students’ knowledge about the psycho-didactic foundations, development and concept of the roles and functions of technical methods to induce, support and promote innovation and change in educational practice is the mission of educational technology. The course’s aim is to develop students’ skills and insight regarding educational technology, and thereby create conditions for further development in the use of technology in education.

The course will focus on the following topics:

Major contemporary paradigms and directions in education in relation to technical means and psycho/didactical systems and how they combine to create innovation in education.

Basic characteristics of current cognitive psychology, constructivist theory of learning and instructive and constructive approaches to education.

The relationship between the development of didactic theories and the way in which educational technologies are used.

Characteristics and specific features of digital technologies in terms of education.

Didactic aspects of technical teaching means.

Main benefits and directions of application of technologies in education.

Pedagogical models and frameworks TPCK, SAMR, iPAC ...

Technological trends influencing pedagogy, education and changes in society. Didactic specifics of trends (eg open education, digital learning materials, cloud computing, mobile devices, safe use of digital technologies, inclusive education and digital technologies, computer thinking).
