Okruhy:1. Sociální stratifikace a vzdělanostní nerovnosti - Sociální nerovnosti a vzdělání, vzdělanostní mobilita, teorie sociální a kulturní reprodukce (P.
Bourdieu, B. Bernstein), racionální jednání, koncept rovností příležitostí ve vzdělávání a teorie spravedlivosti. 2.
Přehled základních zahraničních a domácích výzkumů vzdělanostních nerovností a jejich poznatky. Výzkumy diferenciace vzdělávacích drah, volby školy, vzdělanostních přechodů, faktorů pozitivně ovlivňujících vzdělávání znevýhodněných žáků (výzkumy školní efektivity, resilience) a genderových nerovností.
Statistické ukazatele charakterizující vzdělanostní nerovnosti.3. Opatření vzdělávací politiky na podporu snižování nerovností.
Příklady ze zahraničí. Pokusy o snižování nerovností ve vzdělávacím systému v ČR.
Annotation
The course describes key sociological theories of inequalities in education and presents the research findings about mechanisms leading to their strengthening or weakening. Attention will be paid to discussing the implications of research knowledge for educational policy measures and schools’ and teachers’ work.
The course will focus on inequalities related to socio-economic status, gender and ethnicity. Topics: 1.
Social stratification and educational inequalities - social inequalities and education, educational mobility, theory of social and cultural reproduction (P. Bourdieu, B.
Bernstein), rational behaviour, the concept of equal opportunities in education and the theory of justice. 2. Overview of research findings in educational inequality.
Research on the differentiation of educational pathways, school choice, educational transitions, factors with a positive impact on education of disadvantaged students (school efficiency research, resilience) and gender inequalities. Statistic indicators characterizing educational inequalities. 3.
Educational policy measures to reduce inequality. Examples from different countries.
