Annotation

The occupational teaching practice is an integrated part of the practical preparation of the students in the Master's programme of double specialization in teaching. The practice is in the form of observations of teaching French at a lower secondary shool, their further analysis and assisted practice.

The focus is on the individual teaching performance of the students and its subsequent analysis. The aim is to develop particular teaching techniques and strategies, contributing to the efficient acquisition of the language systems and skills by the lower secondary student.

The emphasis is on the development of reflective competence and gaining of practical experience in the field of social interaction in a language class. Individual work of the students is required, including the familiarization with the specialized literature and pedagogical documents, elaboration of the lesson plans for the actual lessons and reports from the observations as well as treating of a given topic for assignment.
