The Master programme course introduces grammar structures of the German language. The first part of the seminars and lectures folows the linguistic disciplines of the Bachelor progamme (morphology, syntax, lexicology) and deals with theoretical and conceptual background for the description of morphology and syntax of present German, based on Mathesius? model of functional grammar.
The second part concentrates on functional characteristics of grammar elements with the focus on grammar and semantic case. Apart from the traditional structuralist approach ?language as a system? the subject structure is based also on morphology, syntax, pragmatics and text linguistics.
