Annotation

The course of Modern English VI develops students’ language skills further to level C2 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The coursebook focuses on the practical language skills of students, namely spoken and written production as well as reading and listening comprehension.

Particular attention is paid to developing students’ accuracy, fluency and complexity in English as L2. The course extends students’ English word stock, including collocations, idioms, phrasal verbs and abstract terms.

Students learn to understand English grammar as a system and they are exposed to less frequent grammatical structures that occur in the presented texts. Besides the core coursebook, students receive a large number of supplementary exercises.
