Annotation
The aim of the two-semester course is to create preconditions (terminology, poetics) for the systematic recognition of the specific qualities of literary literature in a wide range of its modalities (prose, poetry, drama; artistic and popular literature; and youth) and for meaningful communication about literary texts. The concept and style of teaching literary theory anticipates the needs of teaching practice.
The seminars are interactive in nature, stimulate critical thinking and require active student participation. In particular, the ability to apply general knowledge to a specific material is practiced sensitively and thoughtfully.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the seminar in the winter and summer semesters. During the exam, candidates should demonstrate the ability to clarify key theoretical problems and concepts (use them appropriately, exemplify them, etc.), describe the literary experience, describe and understand the text, formulate suitable themes for the text, characterize the literary work in summary.
