Syllabus

Annotation

The course focusses on the the main problems of Czech and European history in the period 1310-1526 (with some overlapping especially to the previous period). It follows the most important phenomena and processes in the political, economic, religious and cultural development of late medieval Europe (plague epidemic, Turkish expansion, church schism and conciliation movement, Renaissance, overseas discoveries, etc.) and in chronological order brings the development in the Czech lands.

Particular attention is paid to the Luxembourg period.
