Annotation
The course Czech and General History II deals with the main problems of Czech, European (marginally world) history in the period 1310-1526. The most important phenomena and processes in the political, economic, religious and cultural field (plague epidemic, Ottomans expansion, church schism and conciliar movement, renaissance, discoveries, etc.) are presented. In chronological order, the course describes the development in the Czech lands. Special attention is paid to the period of the Luxembourg rule and the Hussites.
In the seminare students discuss key issues of the period and prepare presentations. Students work with sources, edited texts and secondary literature.

Late medieval crisis. The Luxembourg and the Czech throne. The Period of John of Luxembourg. The Period of Charles IV.
