Annotation
The aim of this course is to introduce this linguistic discipline to the students of German studies and to inform them about the related terminology. The course deals with the subject of lexicology, its relation to other linguistic disciplines and subdisciplines (semasiology, onomasiology, onomastics, lexicography, etymology etc.).
Attention is paid to the word and its analysis. Significant chapters of this course deal with the ways of word formation in the German, with German phraseology and the stratification of the German vocabulary from the regional and social point of view.
