Annotation

The aim of the course is to further develop the knowledge of modern German. There is a special emphasis on connecting the language practice with social, historical and cultural context.

The course is based on work with texts featuring aspects of every day life and all four language skills are developed. The lecture of the course is focused on the facts of German-speaking countries (NMZ) and its content is: Geographical location of the NMZ.

The political system of the NMZ and their current position in the world. Economic profile, social life, cultural and demographic peculiarities, customs and traditions, NMZ education system.

History of the capitals of the NMZ and the federal states.
