Annotation

The subject of Computer networks is the basic subject of the content area of the field of study focused on the concept, functions and use of local, or wide area, data and transmission computer networks. The aim of the Computer Networks course is to introduce students to the basic theoretical principles of the creation and structure of computer networks, their services and technical building elements.

Part of the subject is also an introduction to the basic skills in managing networks in commonly used operating systems. From the point of view of thematic units, the course focuses mainly on the following areas: Basic concepts of computer networks, Taxonomy of computer networks, Basics of data communications, Data transfer techniques, Access methods, Network layer and routing, Transport layer, Computational model.
