Obsahové vymezení:
1. Historická retrospektiva postavení člověka s mentálním postižením ve společnosti.
2. Koncept mentálního postižení (terminologie, diagnostika, etiologie).
3. Rodina s mentálně postiženým dítětem.
4. Právní postavení člověka s postižením resp. s mentálním postižením.
5. Komunikační specifika mentálního postižení.
6. Psychosociální a edukační specifika mentálního postižení.
7. Faktory sociálního začleňování.
8. Východiska a principy podpory člověka s mentálním postižením, kvalita života.
9. Aktuální informace související se vzděláváním žáků s mentálním postižením (legislativa, realita, problémy). Závěrečná reflexe.
Annotation
Students will gain an overview of the starting points and principles of supporting people with intellectual disabilities in the context of psychosocial and cognitive peculiarities of intellectual disabilities. They will acquire basic terminology, become familiar with the etiology of intellectual disability.
The aim of the course is to develop critical, independent thinking in students, to describe changes in the position of people with intellectual disabilities in society, their causes and consequences for the theory and practice of special education and other helping professions.
