Annotation
The main aim of the course Introduction to the Study of the Social Sciences is to introduce students to the basic issues and problems of the social sciences, empirical research and philosophy. In addition, learners will be introduced to the basic aspects of the social sciences in terms of the relationship between theory and empirical research, the definition of philosophy, the characteristics of basic research strategies (quantitative and qualitative strategies), research ethics, and selected epistemic issues in the social sciences and philosophy.
In addition, the course facilitates students' entry into and basic orientation to the university and academic environment.
