Syllabus

Lectures:

1.      Physical load - adaptation and neurohumoral regulation.

2.      Metabolism at workload (metabolic envelope zones).

3.      Adaptation of the cardiorespiratory system to physical activity.

4.      Metabolism of different tissues, digestion and nutrition in relation to physical stress. Changes in internal environment, thermoregulation and excretion under load.

5.      Endogenous and exogenous influences and their use in reaction and adaptation and body composition.

6.      Load and growing organism.   Topics of practical exercises:

1.      Introduction to practical exercises

2.      Test W170 and indirect determination of maximum aerobic performance

3.      Simple functional tests

4.      Working metabolism, methods of determining energy expenditure

5.      Aerobic load diagnostics - VO2max test

6.      Credit from practical lessons

Annotation

The subject deals with the acute response of the organism to the load and the chronic adaptation processes of the individual organ systems of the human organism (with special attention to the period of childhood) caused by the physical load. It provides basic information about the functional and energetic demands of various types of physical activities and the influence of physical education on the development of the human organism.
