Annotation

Introduction to the principles of transformation of art culture and art in the early modern period. The birth of the Renaissance in Florentine painting, sculpture and architecture, the parallel emergence of Dutch realism (Nordic Renaissance) and the anchoring of modern culture in humanism. The High Renaissance of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael. The emergence and European spread of mannerism. The time of Rudolf II. Transformation of thinking in literature, art and culture of the Baroque and the emergence of science. European expressions of Baroque, Caravaggio, Rubens, Bernini, Borromini, Rembrandt, Škréta, Santini, Dientzenhofer, Brandl, Braun, Brokoff. The aim is to understand and internalize the changes of art in the past and their connection with contemporary art.
