The course introduces the basic methodological and epistemological background of research in the field of art education, art education and reflected art. It will present the basic research grounding (quantitative and qualitative), with emphasis on currently used models of qualitative research in the field of art.
Students get acquainted with the important terminology of pedagogical research, with the principles of creating research design, they learn to formulate research questions and research goals, to choose methodological frameworks and methodologies. Further collect data, analyze them and interpret them.
They will also learn the basic principles of working with literature. They will learn to choose a suitable research design for the bachelor thesis genre.
