Annotation

The course introduces students to the current trends in visual semiotics and visual communication, focusing on their pedagogical implications. Students learn to analyze the means of verbal and visual communication, their functions, relationships, possibilities and pitfalls.

They also learn to perceive the deeper social and cultural context of selected artefacts of art culture. They acquire an understanding of the state curriculum with regard to these contexts, they thematize the contents of art education.

They are expanding their functional vocabulary of art education. In practical exercises, they learn to connect the ability to work with work in the field of visual culture with other important categories of didactic planning.

The course further develops an understanding of the issues of inclusive education with regard to the understanding of different cultural habits. Visual semiotics and communication.

Analysis, comparison and evaluation of media and forms of visual communication and art. Visual literacy.

The social and cultural context of visual literacy. Inclusive education and cultural habitus.
