Types of comparative studies. Ways and methods of making (appropriate) comparisons. Selection of units and criteria for comparison. Criteria of quality of comparative education research. Cultural and typological differences in educational systems, tools of comparison (ISCED 2011, quality indicators), sources of information and data for the comparative education and education system.
Global issues in education, education around the world and in Europe, trends and selected issues in educational systems.
The course Comparative education provides deeper understanding of the field and its theoretical and methodological foundations.
