Syllabus

The way of work is described in the annotation to the course. The course is accompanied by a course in Moodle where students discuss their work within the course.

Reflective seminars are organised throughout the term. Everybody should be prepared to share their experience.

Annotation

The goal of the course is to further connect the university education of mathematics teachers with schools. Students will be assigned to a practising teacher at the basic or secondary school whom they will assist during the term (preferably at a school where they will have their teaching practice, too).

The assistance consists of helping the teacher with the preparation, enactment and reflection of teaching. Students can also give extra help to pupils or work with talented pupils or assist a pupil during lessons.

They can also prepare and grade mathematical tests and homework, assist in organising mathematical competitions, etc.
