Main topics (pre-intermediate):

Grammar and functions: will and going to

First conditional

Zero conditional expressing probability modal verbs (must, mustn't, have to, don't have to)

Second conditional making offers and suggestions asking for and giving advice

Topics and vocabulary: crime (collocations) negative prefixes adjectives in poems school: bad behaviour; compound nouns globalisation statistics, country facts (vocabulary) nouns with two meanings business electronic devices: compound nouns language

The passive have/get something done

Reported speech

Reported questions and commands talking about photos complaining and asking people to do things

Topics and vocabulary: the influencers, advertising (collocations), consumerism fair-trade describing amounts traditions and trade the senses perception and observation (vocabulary) adverb-adjective collocations noun suffixes: -ion, -sion sight and sound food texture ways of speaking homonyms and homophones

Annotation

This course systematically develops students´ oral, listening, reading and writing skills as well as grammar and vocabulary. The overall aim is to help students become more confident and fluent users of the English language.

The course is offered in two language levels, pre-intermediate and intermediate.
